APPLICATION
|
The use concentration of FlameGard PE
Conc. may vary from 5-20% owb depending
on the fabric weight and residual chemicals
from the previous procedures. A good starting
point is 10% owb, then vary the amount depending
on the resulys of the flame test. After
applying FlameGard PE Conc., heat set the
fabric at 380-400℉

DURABILITY
|
FlameGard PE Conc. is a durable flame retardant
for 100% polyester including woven, knit,
and non-woven fabrics. FlameGard PE Conc.
when proprely applied by padding to polyester
fabrics, followed by high temperature heat
setting or thermosoling conditions, allows
the polyester fabrics to meet flame test requirements
for DOC FF3 & 5-71 (children's sleepwear)
and NFPA 701, initially and after 50 home
launderings.

HANDLING
RECOMMENDATIONS
|
|
Direct contact with
skin or eyes may cause irritation. If this occurs,
flush thoroughly with a gentle stream of water
for 15 minutes. If irritation persists, get medical
attention.
Small spill - mop up or absorb on inert material.
Large spill - confine and collect. Disposal of
this material, its mixtures, rinsings and spill
residues must be in accordance with local state
and federal regulation.
The usual precautions in keeping chemicals away
from the skin and eyes, avoiding ingestion and
prolonged inhalation of their vapors should be
observed.

STORAGE
|
|
If exposed to temperatures below 32℉/0℃ for
long periods, may freeze. If this occurs, allow
to thaw at room temperature and mix well before
using.
